New Horseshoe Crab Exhibit

October 4, 2024

Seatuck is proud to announce the installation of a new horseshoe crab exhibit at the outdoor gallery at the Eleven Maple apartment/commercial building in Bay Shore, NY. The exhibit, which features stunning digital designs of Lisa D’Elia, helps viewers learn about the amazing horseshoe crab, a “living fossil” that has been crawling around on ocean floors for more than 450 million years. The exhibit also highlights the challenges horseshoe crabs are facing and encourages them to urge Governor Hochul to sign legislation to protect their populations in New York.

The new exhibit, which Seatuck staff, board members, volunteers and friends celebrated in late September with an informal reception, is the third annual installation in an ongoing partnership with Greenview Properties.

We encourage everyone to visit the exhibit to enjoy it in person (next door to The Pizzeria in Bay Shore), but in the meantime, you can also see the artwork here.
