The Bistro
To complement the dozens of craft beers you’ll be tasting, a variety of restaurants generously provide a large sampling of their delicacies. Live Music
This year, we are excited to present two live music acts! An acoustic set from Paris Ray to enjoy from 7-8, followed by That Sound Band to dance the night away!!!
The Conservation Lecture
Conservation lectures are at the heart of Seatuck’s unique Bats & Brews Benefit – in fact, the fundraiser grew out of a bat presentation that was part of a monthly lecture series in 2009. For 15 years, event-goers have enjoyed wonderfully educational and entertaining presentations on bats, spiders, and other interesting wildlife.
This year we are excited to have Katrina Rokosz, a Ph.D candidate at Stony Brook University, who will introduce us to the amazing and often misunderstood American Eel. Her presentation will detail their mysterious life cycle that takes them thousands of miles from the middle of the North Atlantic to Long Island’s coastal streams … and back! She’ll also highlight how recent research she and her colleagues have done on eels in the Hudson River is helping us better understand these fascinating fish.
